Fear

I have been getting interviews but not the job. Psychotherapy takes forever. If someone can answer how to get rid of this fear or a belief system that is holding me back how do you accomplish this? I feel this could be the issue in my case. I have been going to church and asked God for help and I feel like a dog chasing it''s tail. I did not have this problem a decade ago. Stuck in a loop of time. If anyone has an insight of what can help, I would greatly welcome any feedback.

Hello, Sherry, I have looked to God for help in finding work and have gained work as such. Maybe the issue, and I know, because it was my issue, was being able to stop long enough from making my own noise to hear God's small, still voice. I don't know you, but maybe that is your case as well. Another offering would be to seek wise counsel from trustworthy sources. I hope this helps.

Sherry, maybe God is trying to show you His way. You are told to fear not. You are told to trust in the Lord with all of your heart, mind and spirit. Let go and let God. Godspeed Sherry.

In this economy employers don't have the luxury of tons of qualified candidates that will stick around. You'll find what you're looking for soon enough. Just don't settle for what doesn't feel like a good fit.

Hey Sherry DeTata I just thought about a few more members you should network with to help you overcome this serious concern.

Stephanie K just went through an unexpected separation of employment and manages to land a new job relatively quick.

Patrick Coppedge and Veronica Jefferson are master interview prep counselors as well.

helen b and our very own Marijoy Bertolini have had long career backgrounds in the recruiting and employment world so they'll be able to offer you some feedback and insight on the interview process from the other side of the table.

I'll reach out to other members and get try to them involved. We're going to help you navigate your way through this obstacle so please stay tuned, okay... Hope all is Well :-)

Hi Sherry DeTata , I think fear or a certain level of anxiety are common emotions people experience during the pre-interview prep stages.

Although, understandably, some may also be overwhelmingly affected with these emotions which makes it extremely difficult to perform when trying to present your best self.

I read a fantastic post from Jason Roberson his morning that I want to share with you around the power of visualization. I have used similar methods in the past and found my mental projections to be very calming, re-assuring, and seem to auto apply during the actual experience.

Take a look at his conversation Breakthrough to your Visualization... and let me know what you think.
