Confidence.

Well rested, ready to work, always on time

Hello. Research the job and the company. This will help you determine what the interviewer may ask you. Determine what to ask. At the end of the interview, the hiring Manager will ask do you have any questions for me? Here are a few questions. What is the work environment like? What is your favorite part about working here? What are the next steps in the interview process?

@Josiah Newland, you probably won’t need a resume for a basic first part-time job unless the position is an internship. However, it will be useful for you to have a document ready to promote your background as you network with contacts or make in-person prospecting visits with employers.

And Good Luck to you!

You should walk with a couple copies of your resume.

Enthusiasm and willingness to strive forward not just walk or like some I've seen crawl!

Thank you for pointing that at jerri bridges Josiah here is a better answer for your question Once an employee is 18, there are no Federal child labor rules. Federal child labor rules do not require work permits. However, many states issue age certificates if you are asked to provide them by your employer. All states have child labor standards. When Federal and state standards are different, the rules that provide the most protection to young workers will apply. You may wish to find out about the child labor laws in your state.

Dress appropriately.

Josiah very good question the very first thing you would need to have is a workers permit and you will have to obtain and keep one until your 18 years of age because of the child labor laws
Show up with a good attitude, keep your shoulders back, your head up. Look people in the eyes and answer questions. Keep your answers short and to the point. Do not expect to be president of the company within a month. Work your way to the top. You can do this. Pray.
