My advice to people interested in working at #UniversityofMinesandTechnology,TarkwaGhana as a #Lecturer ...
People interested in working at University of Mines and Technology should be, first, hardworking. He should love the work he does and be prepared to offer help to the students at anytime. He should be ready to serve on a number of school committees. UMat Is a school where every lecturer carries some responsbility to keep the school going, and to help each lecturer develop as an educator. He should be assured of meeting very good administrators who will help make his stay enjoyable. He should equally expect welcoming arms from his department. The environment is quite conducive for academic work. Like any mining town in Ghana, the cost of living is very high in Tarkwa, so that person should be extra careful with money.

What I loved working at #UniversityofMinesandTechnology,TarkwaGhana
The unity among members of the Mathematics department, we supported and helped one another. The experience of teaching and helping students who were eager to study. The support we had from the administration concerning teaching and learning materials. The all day long availability of the Internet and the vast library made teaching and learning comfortable. The school is a place for academic work!
