I have been affected by the Coronavirus layoffs (I work in hospitality)-- while there is no word whether my job will be there for me when this is all over… I have been seeking out temporary jobs in the meantime.

I signed up for TaskRabbit to try and find some contract remote work. I’ve heard a lot of people find short-term gigs that sometimes turn into full-time. I’ll let everyone know how it goes.

Has anyone else used this site or some similar?? Thanks!

We know this is a stressful time. While Marriott emphasizes that they are working quickly to mitigate the impact of business while supporting their associates, the future is difficult to predict at this time.

In the meantime, we are here to support all of those affected. For those in need of work, there are several topics to follow for latest news, openings and helpful advice.

The people were a challenge. And I liked that.

What they say and what they do are two different things, honestly, your better off looking for work somewhere else.

I worked as a hotel supervisor for their hotels for 8 years, one day I was in the storage warehouse and a industrial commercial ladder fell and hit me on the head and knocked me out, woke up a few seconds later with blood pouring from my head. Was fired a few months later.
I do not recommend this company at all, I was dedicated to my job and often worked double shifts to cover when we were busy, and usually without test or meal breaks, without compensation. Employees treated poorly, I don’t recommend.

Que trabaje en lo que trabaje trate de ser siempre el mejor. Como lo fui yo. Yo era el mejor housemen que tenía el hotel y eso lo sabía desde el mánager general hasta el vale parking.
