One thing I would have loved to have at #Think Video was

A steady paycheck with the associated tax status (W-2/W-4, rather than 1099) so I could use my personal deduction on my tax filing and my employer pays 1/2 of my payroll taxes (FICA & Medicare-Medicaid taxes). We self-employed / subcontractor workers have to pay a much greater proportion of our gross income in taxes (both Federal and state, in regard to the personal deduction we can't use and having to pay the full payroll tax portion, than regular employees do. Otherwise, I like legal video deposition recording because, while it requires a high degree of technical knowledge and skill, I have that, so this work is easy and generally pleasant for me.

Volunteer Work.

Volunteer Work over the internet. Somebody could start a list for resources for those who need things. Like basic necessities. Like food. Personal cleaning supplies. Maybe ask a local church, for extra gift cards. Or something else, there are other resources, like helping people on a chat line, for those who can't help themselves. There are so many of them.
