Hi all I am looking for a managerial position in Supply Chain in large corporations if at all possible. I don't have certifications but I have military experience that can transfer over. I reside in Los Angeles but am open to relocation.
I was contacted by a Director of HR for a position in supply chain, which is my background. After speaking with me, he said that he would get back to me the next week and that there were perhaps other positions in the company which could be an opportunity for me. A week passed and I didn't hear from him. I sent him an email to find out the status of our conversation and then he told me that there were matches for my background. I was disappointed and dumbfounded. Then, two days later, I get a job alert from the same company telling me to apply for the following position because they match my background. and of course, some of the positions listed are the positions that was discussed with the HR Director. What is this? Why am I a match on paper and then after a couple of days, I'm not qualified. I have two master's degrees and several years of experience and am very articulate.
