Finishing up school
I am finishing up high school but working at Home Depot part-time. It's helping me save up for college which is nice. Not sure I will have enough for yet but my manager is cool and let's me pick up extra shifts on Saturday if someone calls out. Hoping I won't need too many more scholarships or finacial aid to help me out. Trying not to end up in debt.

Yup
I am happy to say I am getting a raise. Been workin for Amazon in the warehouse and my supervisor finally noticed I was working hard. I am really good at making sure the safety regs are up to code and that the people I work with are productive. Promotion and raise here I come!

BUSY weekend!
I had a busy weekend! There was a HUGE wedding in town and I guess there was quite literally NO place to park your car at the place they had the wedding so the guests had to get rides to and from the hotel to the wedding. I have driven for Lyft for a while and never seen such a busy time. Luckily all the guests were pretty awesome.

Ideas on getting that raise you deserve...
Just saw this article in Business Insider and thought I'd share it. Theres a lot of good thoughts in here (some might need to be converted for your particular situation but the principles translate pretty well. #whadayathink ? #raise #promotion #SelfAdvocacy

Goshen is not a well organised company that has low salary scale but could be a stepping stone pending on one's level.

My advice to people interested in working at #DangoteoilrefiningcompanyLagos as a #Craneoperator ...
I would tell the person to make his document about his/her skill available, but the salary of operators there is not Good enough compared to other oil companies

I just have a question about minimum wage. I havent worked since our new minimum wage was set, but I'm wondering if employers are allowed to pay under minimum wage, if you're not receiving any tips or compensation? The thing that confuses me is there's a federal, state & city/ county minimum wage & I've noticed that even though our minimum wage is $12 an hour, some stores only pay between $8.50- $11 an hour, even retailers like Family Dollar. Is that legal, especially if they don't give you breaks or any benefits?
