Some dishonest recruiters will take advantage of you and it's just not right. Some recruiters have fake jobs, some won’t send you to great jobs because they want to waste your time with other positions where they get higher commission. Be careful!!

I hate trying apply for something online and next thing you know every tom dick and harry is calling trying to get you to register for school.....All I want is to apply for a job.....lol

I’m thinking about using a 3rd party to help me match up with jobs that meet my career goals and salary requirements. What’s the difference between a headhunter and a recruiter? My financial resources are limited right now so affordability without sacrificing quality service is key. Any ideas?

Do you unscribe the recruiters when you have the job? Also, does the recruiters keep my resumes/cover letters and not deleted just in case something goes wrong after the job has been given?

How often you guys getting calls from recruiters obviously chewing bubble gum while talking on the phone: "Hey, is Michael there?"

I personally think these recruiting companies are a pain in the butt....I would rather deal with a Company direct then go through a recruiter....They do not seem to even know when you apply for a job, yet send you a email on that same Company is interested in you...smh... These recruiting companies truly need to get their act together.....Also giving out your cell # to get texts from these companies to me is a scam.....I've received so many text calls that were blocked......smh......3rd Party callers probably.... The last couple years (2014-2016), it became common for third party recruiters to ask job candidates four or five last digits of their Social Security Numbers (SSN) or the whole SSN and Month and Day of their Birth (sometimes and Year of Birth) under pretext of avoiding double submissions.

I always believed that it could be necessary only on the final steps of hiring process, however very often I yielded their nice voices promising such great opportunity surely coming.

Yesterday I've found a new collection account in my credit report based on some Car Title Payday Loan with unknown me business and which I never borrowed.

So, I am strongly advising all job seekers never ever giving away to recruiters any part of their SSN and Date of Birth (DOB) unless it's coming to real hiring which materialized for me just once (in December 2015 for six months contract).

Why do I keep getting job postings for temporary jobs on the other side of the country? Do people actually take those jobs? No, I don't want a 3 month assignment in Utah!!!
