Legging or jeggings can be very fasionable.

U can find some very unique styles. If you wear a flat shoe its considered casual look. If you wear a heel iits considered dressy. There is so many different ways to dress them up or down. long collar shirt with a stylish belt and legging worn with a stressed jean jacket and scarf with matching bag and matching shooties is real popular
I can go on and on with the many different ways to dress with legging or jeggings

unprofessional

yesterday I went above and beyond for my manager. as a pharmacy technician we serve our patients with the out most service & dedication . the lack of an unprofessional environment and management team speaks for itself . I never in my life had to travel outside my job to retrieve a package for a mishandled error from my boss . especially if we didn't know who reside at that present address, they weren't even a patient of ours , and she was more worried about how her supervisors will dismiss her for the mistake she has caused then , her actual technician going above and beyond once again . I ask this person for my two weeks and she flipped out and did not accept my notice told me to leave the pharmacy. not only did she do this ! but she belittled me each and every day without leaving me room to progress and the company itself , monitoring my every step . as well as I would always hear her discussing awful things about her staff and her superiors amongst other employee members . she spread lies to other staff about my work ethics . she tried turn my fellow colleague members against me ! this is ridiculous I was only there for 2 months to take all this in each and every day , with No-one to help me ! until I just had enough is enough !

How do others see me?

Today's job market is crowded and competitive. With that said and hard to argue why would anyone make the task harder on themselves. If you haven't heard or thought about this statement consider it now - "You only have one chance to make a first impression." That statement is a fact. Some may want to argue it but as a living, thinking and reasoning individual your sub-conscious will, literally, in a split second categorize what is seen, heard and smelled.

  1. So when looking for and going to interviews do a little research. If your applying for a position as a exercise trainer or life guard don't wear a suit and tie. If your looking to be a manager for a corporation save the leggings for the gym when you get off work or going to the riding stables.
  2. Now that social media is basically a must for communication you must be extremely careful what to put out there on the internet. What ever you have posted is up for grabs. I will tell you if I am seriously considering someone for a position it will enter that name into the search engines and see what surfaces.
  3. Always ask yourself, How do others see me?

No leggins and makeup that is over made up.

I agree and sweaters that belong to your little sister, gum in your mouth. Can't complete a simple sentence nor know or have all of the necessary information needed to complete the application. I can go on and on but you understand what I mean. And what is most interesting telling you the hours they can only work and their salary requirements. Too, much.

Job Searching Tip - Cell Phones

  1. Set up your voicemail.
  2. Don't let your voicemail get full
  3. This is a big one - ANSWER your phone. And state your name. "Hi this is Jim".
  4. Listen to your voicemail - don't call back and say "Someone called me from this number".
  5. Don't have a weird voicemail message. Keep it professional. "This is Jim, please leave me a message"

A quick Holiday tip for you job seekers. Check your social media presence. Are there pics on Facebook that don't show you in the best light? If so, then hide them from public view. Recruiters and some hiring managers will look you up. I'm not saying you can't ever post party pics if you must, but don't make them public. It's all about first impressions.

No Leggings Please!

Is it just me, or have more people forgotten how to dress for the job? I have coworkers who wear leggings as pants, windbreakers, sports t-shirts...I could go on! Can we PLEASE get back to dressing like we respect our jobs???

"Reality Check" I took 5 shots of Jim Beam!!!!!!

Jobcasters,

Hi everyone I'm back to give you another post. I been away because nobody was responding so I took a short vacation...hahaha. I just recently read a post that inspired me from Diane. Someone who responded to her was talking about the young generation. Well, this time instead of giving you a political view I thought since it's the holiday season I would share a good laugh with you.....Here it goes something like this....One day I stopped by the cigar store to get a few cigars from this young gentleman I knew and as I was setting there smoking my cigar he came up and sat down with me and we were talking about how I was impressed with him being young and how mature he was. I told him...Hey, you know when I hear or see these younger kids just not showing up for work always asking their parents for things I usually give them the "Vietnam Check". He said cool whats that...I said, well most kids there age were fighting the Vietnam war coming back with no arms and legs and these kids don't even get to work on time....He said, Hey thats a good one, I need to remember that. I felt kinda proud sitting there taking a puff of my cigar I felt like the Don sending a message straight. Then I said, You know there are no more Pattons or Macaurthers anymore.....He just looks at me and says...No,No, No....there are no more Pattons and Macaurthers anymore.....They are all on xbox!!!!!!!!!......I almost choked on my cigar....I got up said goodbye and stopped at the first bar a took 5 shots of Jim Beam....Damn, I just got a reality check!!!!!!Hahahahahahahahahahaha......till next time everyone...God bless...Jeff

Keep positive

Get your poop in a group people. I see a lot of whining and blaming others for their problems here. Own it. Get over it, and focus on what needs to happen... work on you. Your problem isn't others- it's yours. Ditch the egos, it's the ultimate source of negativity that will prevent you from succeeding.

What is success? Knowing your purpose and fulfilling it.

It has nothing to do with jobs or money. Those will happen as a side effect of knowing and fulfilling your purpose. It comes for free.

We live in a value for value exchange world. Make yourself a value. Nobody owes you anything. You are not entitled to a job, you have to be a value to receive a value. Nobody cares about your unemployment situation more than you, nor should they.

I apply. I don't look back with expectations, I'm too busy applying for the next one I searched for that feels right. I don't care if they don't respond... I'm looking ahead, not behind.

Every negative thing you say here is only proving why you are unemployed and not getting work. You'll be searched online. Put your best foot forward and keep there. Life change time. Show people that you won't fall to the dark side. They want to hire team players that can withstand the challenges even in the worst situations. This is where true character is made and recognized by others. Is this what you want to be known for?

Don't make emotional decisions or speak from emotions. Be rational. Don't be led by fear and make fear base decisions (emotional). Be proactive, not reactive. Don't be fake nice here. Be nice because it's right. Put genuine good out there, and genuine good will come back. But don't look back expecting it like an entitled little shi+. Help others more and worry less about yourself. Be more selfless and less selfish.

Doesn't matter why you are in the situation you are in, what matters is that you work your way out of it. It is active work, you don't get to sit around waiting and reminiscing about the life you had. Jobs won't find you, they are not looking for you. But they will avoid the egotistical complainer type.

Make yourself available for opportunity to find you! Be well presented so it can!

Be proactive. Be humble. Have gratitude. Appreciate what you have now and forget about what you don't have any more. In the end, you won't get out alive or with a thing. Make the most of every moment. Leave goodness in your wake and people will want you back.

This isn't a place to vent your frustrations. This isn't face book. This is the professional working world. Yes, you're being judged with every action you make known. If you want to vent, talk to the tree in your back yard, and be willing to listen to what it says.

Know thy self. Know your purpose and fulfill it.

What is your strongest value to others? Find a job doing that. Or, what do you want to do? Learn to do it. Either way, you'll be great.

Best wishes,

James

Rita, I am sorry your job situation did not turn out well. From what I read, I truly believe you will be better off working else where. Even if that company did hire you you may have ended up dealing with issues. There use to be a time that companies would have problems under state labor laws indulging in such unprofessionalism. At any rate there are reputable and professional corporations and businesses. Pray for strength and endurance. God will provide. You will succeed. Speak your desires into existence and believe you will recieve. As previously mentioned report this type of unprofessionalism on Glassdoor. As for the Seargent, I am not trying to blast you however I many may not understand mindset or strength of a militant. I am not blasting you and I can speak for hours on the problems I have had looking for a job. Rita needs words of encouragement right now. Yes she need to step up and move forward. Yes she need to be strong and set this behind her. I do commend you on strength. I truly believe Rita will find the job that fits her character and skill set. She will be ok. God bless.
