I received my 1st stimulus check by mail. Since then I have moved but my old landlord was still allowing me to use my old address as my mailing address. I found out yesterday that about a month ago my landlord rented my old apartment to someone else so my name had been removed from the mailbox and didn't notify me. So whenever I checked the IRS website about my 2nd payment it said that my check was mailed out on January 6th, 2021. So I went to the post office and they said that my check was more then likely sent back, F*@$ING WONDERFUL... WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO TO GET MY 2ND PAYMENT?? HELP ME ASAP PLEASE.... #stimulus #payment
I never received my Stimulus check the 1200.00 dollars that was scheduled to be deposited into my account on December 9th from the IRS. The bank said they sent it back the IRS says they deposited at that bank but it's not showing up in my account. I had the IRS put a Trace on it, now I have to wait for the trace. Will the same thing happen with the 600.00? #unemployment #stimulus #payment
So this is what i get when i try to check on my stimulus payments (i havent gotten 1 or 2?) I did file my taxes...(like 2 months ago) i check the IRS website once a week and its always the same message? #stimulus #coronavirus #payment
If you want to check the status of your stimulus check you can visit the website : https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment.
This service went live today (4/15/20) and It allows consumers to check their payment status, confirm whether they prefer direct deposit or a paper check and enter their bank account information for direct deposit if the IRS doesn't have it yet.
The IRS announced that it would launch a website on April 17 that would allow people to check the status of their payment, including the date it's scheduled to arrive, and the bank account or address where it's headed.
It's called the Get My Payment portal (good name, guys) and will also allow people to provide bank account information if the IRS doesn't already have it.
The IRS also announced the launch of a new website that will allow people who don't have to pay taxes (such as people with lower incomes, veteran beneficiaries, and others) to send the IRS info about where to mail or deposit their stimulus checks. This news comes as a relief to people who have been wondering whether the promise of a stimulus check applies to them.
The relief checks, officially called Economic Impact Payments, are scheduled to begin going out next week. You can read more about eligibility here.
