My advice to people interested in working at #OurCalling.org as a #Volunteer ...
Unless you are a christian looking for a paying job where you don't have to deal with the homeless or you want to volunteer, pray before going to work there because you are going to need all the help you can get dealing with people who think the world owes them anything they want handed to them on a silver platter.

The biggest mistake I made as a #Volunteer at #OurCalling.org ...
The biggest thing that sticks out is one Thursday morning before opening up I was outside and had my wallet propping the door slightly ajarred so I could get back in and one of our clients walked in. I told him he couldn't go in till we opened, he got mad and told me a supervisor said he could go to the bathroom. I looked inside and there was no supervisor around so I yelled at him to come out but he kept going. I later found out it was another volunteer that told him he could go. But when the man came out of the bathroom he came straight to the counter and started threatening me and he called me outside to handle it, I said alright, but we'll handle it my way and I pulled my knife out on him, but was still inside the building and he was outside. I told my supervisor and I received only a writing assignment about how I should of handled the situation. He said the reason I wasn't terminated was because I told him about it right away.

A #stressful #OurCalling.org day
Being the veteran there and not even my supervisor backed me up.

Drama at #OurCalling.org
She walked off telling me to leave her alone. She was suppose to be a christian but got mad when I asked a question.

What I loved working at #OurCalling.org
