If I knew anyone that needed a job at northside center, I would tell them the only reason I stayed there as long as I did was for the wonderful residents. The people in charge are very crupt. I’ve seen things I could have taken to the state and should have but didn’t have the paper proof.

My biggest mistake was going to bill the person in charge and turning the management team in. They said they would do some investigation and look into our situation. There was four of us complaining at that time. Bill did some investigation and came back saying all four of us was gossiping and we all got written up for what we said about the management team because we didn’t have proof. It was our word against there’s.

I got fired for what Marie said that night about this Spanish person. Come to find out I was there for three years. She was there for three weeks. I worked hard. Came in ALL the time. Did extra hours and they gave her the benefit of the doubt and never asked my side. I don’t like this company. They treated the tie staff, their employees like crap. No matter how long they have been there or anything.

A new employee started working there. None of the staff really liked her. She was Spanish and so blunt with people who she didn’t even know yet. One day a friend of mine had a problem with her as well. She said something to a girl named Marie and Marie said something to this blunt girl. Anyway then she started saying nice things about her. Which was nice but almost to the point where she was kissing her ass. She was my best friend. I said to the Spanish girl. You are kissing her ass. She got offended saying I was very ugly. She then started talking to Marie in Spanish. I asked her some questions about things as Marie was listening to our conversation. I called her names. She called me names. Marie dialed the manager who was Spanish and told her everything in Spanish. My problem. I speak English. So I didn’t know if Marie was telling the truth. I later found out that it was a lie. But it was weird situations. It was the whites against the Spanish people who were staff. Never in my life has this ever happened to me.

The residents. They were all wonderful people. They all taught me a lot about who they are and the kind of people they want to be. They were so smart about life and wanted to make a difference with the lives they are struggling with. I wish I could still work there. I miss all of them. We treated each other as if we were a family but yet doing a job for the company as well as them.
