It's hard to believe that #COVID has been affecting our daily life for SIX months now. It's easy to get caught up with negative thoughts and feelings of demotivation.

So today I'm asking you all to share a feel good story you've heard recently or a positive moment you've experienced!

I'll start... I recently read a story about a toddler who was OBSESSED with garbage trucks. He admires the men and women who drive them, and even has his own fleet of toy trucks himself! As a birthday surprise this year, four of his local trash collectors came riding through in their trucks, horns hoking and screaming words of celebration to celebrate his special day.

Read the full story (and watch the ADORABLE video) here!

Have you ever heard the inspirational story "The Elephant Rope"?

For those of you who haven't, I'd like to share it for today's #MotivationalMonday.

A gentleman was walking through an elephant camp and noticed they weren't kept in cages or held by strong chains. All that was restraining these gigantic creatures was a small piece of rope tied to one of their legs.

The man questioned why the elephants didn't just use their strength to break the rope and escape. Curious, he asked a trainer.

The trainer replied: "When they are very young and much smaller, we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it's enough to hold them. After a few failed attempts to break free in their youth, the elephant stops trying and never tests the rope again. They believe the rope can still hold them."

We have these "ropes" in our everyday life. The false belief and assumption that we cannot achieve something restricts our potential and success. The testing of our limits and belief that you can be successful is the most critical step to actually achieving your goals!

What are your thoughts?

#MotivationalMonday

This morning was a rough one… I missed my train, left my bagel in the toaster AND spilled coffee all over my brand new pants. YIKES! All I wanted to do was crawl back into bed and try again tomorrow.

But, I made a promise to myself that 2020 would be a year of personal growth and positivity which means every Monday counts! So, I whipped out my Tide To-Go pen, poured a new cup of coffee and headed into work with a smile.

Have you ever had “UGH” day like this?! Share your story below!

For those of you have seen my NO is just NEXT OPPORTUNITY post. Here is the score for me. Today my email inbox had four we selected another candidate for the position e-mails along with a phone call from a recruiter who informed me that I may have been too honesty in providing information about my past employment history.

I was stunted at the comment about being too honest but also understood what the recruiter was tell me. The bottom line is I never wish to have a job that I had to lie to get.

Finally, I began one of the two new jobs I had been seeking in June I will be Adjunct Professor Robertson and if all goes well by the end of the week I will have landed the other job I had been after.

So keep your heads up, don't settle or sell yourself short and get the job you truly desire.
