"We are currently hiring and have 25-30 positions open. We call on behalf of nonprofit organizations. We work from 9 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday. No weekends. Interviewing daily during work hours. Walk-ins welcome,” according to an email from a company representative.

I have been in the workforce since I was 15 (now 33), but have not achieved sustained full-time employment for more than a year. I was let go in December with no warning, severance, or anything. My supervisor said he would be happy to give me a good recommendation anywhere.

Here's the problem: I'm severely overeducated and underexperienced for everything. I have a B.S. in Marketing, a paralegal certificate, and an M.Ed (obtained in that order). I've worked retail, restaurant, been a tutor, a substitute teacher, full-time math teacher, worked in government offices in a law context. But nothing that clearly qualifies me for anything, and I didn't really feel like anything fit me.

I'm not even getting interviews for positions I am interested in and think are a good fit. The couple of interviews I've had were for jobs I didn't really want, and they didn't go well. I will soon run out of unemployment, and don't know what else to do.
