Best answer to SELL YOURSELF TO US WHY SHOULD WE HIRE YOU?

WHAT DOES IT TAKE!
So what does it really take to get yourself a job? To be the one who is picked out of the rest? I see a lot of people posting more complaints and blaming and waiting on an unseen force to give them what they deserve. We seem to be helping each other complain instead of really helping to get a job. Individually in your own world right to the heart of yourself is were we have to go. This is nothing anybody else will even have to know about . But by all means when you see the changes and there will be changes then pass it on and help as many others as you can. Go into your mind and start to watch how you are truly thinking about everything you do and think. This will only take a few days to accumulate enough data what you truly think about every situation you are embarking on. . Do not add any judgments or lable yourself you just watch your mind. How do you truly preserve everything that you think or do. When you walk into a store or go to do anything that you want in this case it would be getting a job. When you go into that interview are you heading into it with doubt, Most of us in our conscious mind are you saying I can do it but underlying thoughts are of doubt or pitty that they never get the job. It is what we are thinking about all the time that is effecting are outcomes. Yes I know that just keeping food on the table is a struggle, what we are going to drive to that job. who is gong to watch the kids, how am I going to pay my bills we could go on and on. So what I am saying is take a moment to push aside daily worries and really go inside find out how you are really setting yourself up for success or failure. Then you have to decide if you have what it really takes. It is all up to us individually. How do I step into each moment with doom or an I got this !!!!!! That is the game changer when you decide to do something or not. If you see that you are telling yourself one thing but believing another. Change it !!!! For some this might be easy and for some it might be difficult. It's up to each of us to really change things for ourselves nobody is going to do it for us the real work inside. But then again it is our choice. To do what it takes to really get that job. Im sure there are many situations that are not fair but the more we think that the more we set ourselves up for that. Please by all means doubt what I'm saying but ask yourselves how do I know if I have never really tried. I wish everyone well !And I know you can get whatever job you want! LOVE AND LIGHT TO ALL!

Why I was Unemployed For a over a year in 2012. (Are you like me?)
Here is a quick summary for those who don't want to read this long post --If you are fighting for a idea that gives you no hope, you are fighting for your enemies. Since self observation is the mother of all change we must Let go of all mental enemies. ---- If this resonates, read on.
I read a post by Veronica Jefferson titled "The Reality of Employment Desperation." Her bullet points seem to come off controversial, however I personally saw nothing that could be harmful if implemented. This is a great way to judge information. What I mean is, if one took action on her words there is little chance harmful results will arise. She said things like "Have some pride for yourself and keep going even when you feel like giving up". So why was it controversial? I know because I was the angry comment'er before, it was me in 2012.
In 2012 I was fired from a job I was working for maybe 3 years or so at the time. I spent a year looking for a job back then a post like Veronica's would have woke me up, and made me angry for sure. The thing about information that wakes people up is its so mentally shocking we often push against it as the mind holds outdated beliefs. Just picture this, you are extremely tired haven't sleep in days and just when you get your eyes closed your phone alarm goes off and on top of that its playing a song you hate. In this situation you will likely respond to eliminate any enemies of your sleep. How weird would it be if you did all you could to keep the alarm and terrible song playing and stopped people from turning off the alarm? You would be working against your self interest. Life wake up calls have the same tendency, they confuse us and at times to make us fight for ideas of limitation.
I've been a certified as Neurological Linguistic Programming practitioner also since 2012 and one thing I know about the mind for certainty is its unwavering ability to fight for what we believe.
"What do you believe about yourself?"
I was amazed to see how many people on that post were arguing for limitations. I did the same thing in 2012, I was determined to let people know I wasn't going to find a job period, because of numerous reasons I had. Guess what, I won. All my expectations were met. Don't be like me, don't fight to be on the losing end of results.
My advice to avoid MY mistake is ask yourself, "What am I arguing or fighting for? If you can see that when you win the argument you are firmly planted in a place of no hope, you may be fighting the wrong battle.

If you're starting a new Job here's 4 Tips to Get You Ready For Your First Day at Work
So you’re super excited that you just got a job offer, after days/weeks/months/years of your job search. Then you find yourself having to deal with the anxiety that comes with planning for your first day at work.
Landing a job is great, but making the right impression and succeeding on the job will definitely put an icing on the cake for you.
Here are some tips that will help you be in your first week:
- Be prepared physically My first day at work started out pretty well but ended terribly when I realized I forgot my wallet while I was about to board a bus (halfway home). The story of how I walked a long distance (in the most uncomfortable shoes) made it awful.
Ensure you have comfortable clothes and accessories ready and ironed for the first week. Observe the dress code of the staff during the interviews, so you don’t go overboard while trying to impress on your first day at work.
Absorb as much information as you can You would be getting more than enough information during your induction/on-boarding program. This is a very important aspect of your success at work and getting it wrong at this stage may be chaotic. Be a good listener and observe a lot of things. The company culture is something you should pay proper attention to, and ensure you don’t behave like an outcast.
Set expectations It’s easy to get so involved with your tasks or the organization's goals that you lose yourself, which may affect your career. During the first week of integration, understand the company’s goals see how you fit into the goals, then map out a career path for yourself. Document these expectations: including dates; things you want to achieve on the job to enable you to be a top performer and how you plan to do that; skills you hope to gain on the job and the people who would help you gain this skills; mentors you need to identify, that would help you get to your destination.
Beware of the manipulators There is a special category of employees that you need to be mindful of so that you don’t lose your joy even before it started. I call them manipulators. These are the employees that are highly disgruntled and would look for the slightest opportunity to drag you into their cabal. Always keep an open mind and don’t always accept everything they say hook, line, and sinker.
Manipulators complain and make you feel like you made a mistake joining the company since they are looking for an exit. Don’t be confrontational with these people or try to argue with them, because you can never win that battle. Just listen, nod your head, filter the information and move on. Be emotionally intelligent when dealing with them.
I wish you the best on your career journey.

Needing Help
So, I had a great phone interview today, and I think I can do the commute. I'm a litle apprehensive about the testing, as they are asking for Excel (i'm usually an expert), but have issues with v-lookups. How can I avert my diversion to v-lookups? I would love to get some insight, and maybe talk with someone regarding my anxieties.

Feeling stressed
Hello to all! This job search can be very exhausting and overwhelming! Some of these companies want an autobiography and a video before you’re even considered!! When did this start happening..? Really feeling defeated today—- apologies if this brings any of you down, I just needed to vent somewhere today. Thanks for listening..:)
