Does this company have a good culture??

Get the inside scoop on what a company is ALL about by asking these questions during your next interview or at a job fair! This will help to determine if their work culture is right for you.

-Where do the people who work here usually eat their lunch? Are they eating while they work at their desks? Do they offer a common area to share their lunch time? Do they go out for lunch together? Figuring out how employees spend their lunch will tell you whether they are slammed with work, don’t want to spend time with their colleagues, and if they enjoy each other’s company.

-Would it be alright to take a quick tour? Environment is KEY here, so be sure to take it all in if they offer a tour and observe all that you can. This is the place you will be everyday if you are hired. As you look around, are individuals interacting with one another? Do the workers look stressed? Is the break/lunch room decorated/clean? Does it give you a good vibe or a negative one?

-How do you measure success? Is your future employer going to have unrealistic expectations? Make sure you feel confident to go after what they explain they will be expecting of you. If you aren’t then this might not be the right place for you. An employer that demands LONG work days, for example, may not be a good fit, but if you like to work a ton it will be perfect.

-What are some past company outings or events that you’ve had? This will reveal if they are all work and no play as well as how they treat their employees. A company will most likely have a holiday party at the very least, but I have worked for some that did not, and as it turns out the employees weren’t truly valued. This is so important! If you want to work for an employer who takes care of their employees be sure to ask this question.

Good luck with any future interviews you have coming up!!

How did YOU find out if a company was right for you?

I always try to feel out how flexible they are with certain things like time off and stuff. Work culture does change a lot from one to the next. You have to see where you fit into it all.

Always good to check that out and see for yourself in person what they are all about. What a website says is totally different from going in person.

Oh my God! Who are You? The mama of romper room.first you say too much confidence now your saying be confident. Lunch is lunch do what you want eat what An d where you want to.A great work inviorment is great ,getting along Boss to employee with respect on both ends. The boss should be working as hard as he wants his employees to. Speaking properly An d with respect will increase productivity, however we don't need clowns An d balloons to boost activity. Words tone facial expressions that say great job! Cleanliness, yes is wonderful An d keep it clean together is important. Now that is in a food, office, restaurant ect...lets say you work in a car mechanic garage or in a coal mine, than you'd better be concentrating on safety percisnise so on An d so forth. You seem very monotone. Not every situation or person is alike. Talk about robotic. Ashley, as Mr. Trump would say " Your Fired " Sincerely Robin Purpera

I think what Ashley said is true. You can figure out what work life would be like if you just do a little observing.
