"Interview Tip"

Should you ask this question during your Interview?

Does the Job Offer Remote Working?

Be careful about this. Although work-from-home and remote working positions are desirable, companies often want to know that an applicant is dedicated enough to come to a physical workplace.

Additionally, job descriptions often say whether the position can be performed remotely.

Unless it’s a complete dealbreaker for you, it’s better to leave negotiations about the place of work until after an employment contract has been signed. #disability #jobs #interviewtip

"Interview Tip"

Are you Adaptable?

Expressing your adaptability during a job interview can significantly enhance your appeal to potential employers. Here are some tips to help you effectively convey this quality:

Share Specific Examples:

Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to describe situations where you demonstrated adaptability. For instance, you might say:

Situation: “In my previous role, our team faced a sudden change in project requirements.”

Task: “I was responsible for ensuring our deliverables met the new criteria.”

Action: “I quickly organized a meeting to discuss the changes, re-prioritized tasks, and adjusted our workflow.”

Result: “As a result, we successfully met the new requirements ahead of schedule and received positive feedback from the client.”

Highlight Learning Experiences: Talk about times when you had to learn new skills or adapt to new tools and technologies.

Emphasize Flexibility: Show that you can handle unexpected changes and remain productive.

Demonstrate a Positive Attitude: Employers value candidates who maintain a positive attitude in the face of change.

Showcase Problem-Solving Skills: Adaptability often involves finding creative solutions to new challenges. #AWU #disability #interviewtip
