Confidentiality & Integrity at the Workplace.

If you look for a long lasting business relationship with your Employer, Confidentiality & Integrity are highly essecials for the life of your career or business relationship. Even at the floor level, the two carasteristics go hand by hand and dealing with sensitive information of any subject, processes procedures including the safety of documents and the entire workforces is critical and must be practice in all you do. Nowadays, if you say the wrong statement, behave eracticly and make innapropiate comments about the company, co-workers, procedures or top managers desicion making processes, it can land you on the black list at the Human Resources department in a heartbeat. When you decide to make any statement in the workplace, (even through social media) look who you are talking to and who is around you that will hear your voice. I assure you, that your comments will travel the entire facility to key individuals that will hunt you up to your termination of employment. So, "Mind your own Business" Be Competitive, Be Good, Be You and practice "Confidentiality & Integrity" all the time.

Leave of absence

I was place on LOA by my employer due to me having an asthma attack at work and my blood pressure was up on February 14. This is not my first time having an asthma attack while at work No, I do not have high blood pressure! No, I wasn’t sent home because I got sick.I put in some PTO due to I was having a bad headache that been lingering since I had that asthma attack that morning. Went to HR to get an accommodation form that management is aware that I cannot work in the dock area due to my health. After he printed up the paperwork to give to my doctors, he stated I couldn’t return back to until February 21. Ok, return back to work and only worked two days for that week. Receive a phone call from the company accommodaton case manager who have my case on my off day. She told me the senior ops manager denial my claim due to what both of my doctors stated. She place me on a thirty day leave until they can find a position for me. I was find in the position I was in, but when they move me to a different department because they have to many people at work. The work is hard and heavy manual labor. It effect my health, and I have other heath issues beside asthma. When I told the manager in my department and their assistant that I’m not able to work in the dock area because it make me ill. The manager told me to put an accommodation on file that they can be aware. Since I didn’t have one, I have to work in the dock area. Now I ask for accommodation, they deny me and I don’t have no income coming in. I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy. I know it time to start looking for another job ASAP!

ARE THESE PLACES REALLY HIRING?????

I currently have a job and its pays very well, however I am currently looking for a job in the Human Resource Generalist Field. I have applied for every HR Generalist position that I have seen, that was recommended by someone, etc. (You all know what I am talking about). I have been on lots of interviews and I am appalled that I have not found a job. It makes me ask the question "ARE THESE PLACES REALLY HIRING"?????? I get the same emails from Monster jobs, Indeed, Career Builder, and so on and so on. I look at the job title and description and realize I have already applied for the job. I currently live in Chicago, IL I have even attempted to look for employment in cities in Indiana near Chicago. Any advice to help me out?

Degree has yet to pay off

Hello everyone, I wanted to share real quick about my struggle of gaining a position in my career field. I have three degrees with the highest being a Master's in Human Resources, I do have some experience but not 5 years which is usually the requirement for the position I want. Getting my degrees may have wasted time, money and resources, although I am employed and the company is decent, I am still not where I should be. I have had many interviews since 2014 (Grad School completion in 2014) and I have been told that "I interview very well, my background and experience are impressive but at this time we moved on to other candidates." I fear that I am going to be looked at as being too old and all the competition is the much younger candidates. I feel so stuck! Any advice for women over 40 looking to get into their career?

My advice to people interested in working at #HighlandSecurityandInvestigationsLLC. as a #Hr/Training/administrativeassistanttoV.P. ...

Do not do it. They over work you and under pay you. If you're a woman, you will be sexual harassed. If you complain about the work environment, you will be written up or fired. You will be yelled at, degraded and your kindness taken advantage of. They will market themselves as family oriented but then treat you like "the ugly stepchild". They only way you survive in such a toxic environment is if you are already friends with upper management when you apply. If you decide to quit or happen to get fired, they will fabricate false claims against you. They make employees, with threats on their jobs, write false statements so you cannot collect unemployment or find another position. I left there in December after 5 years of putting up with all of this knowing how the owner operates. Had I known these things in the beginning of my employment, I would have never applied to begin with. I hope none you make the same mistake. Good luck in your job search!

Finding jobs

Finding a job has been so challenging and depressing. I used to work in Human Resources before I left to help my husband out with his business. He has since closed the doors and finding work has been very challenging. I would love to get back into Human Resources.

Looking to further my experience.

I have many years as a warehouse worker. I love the environment and physicality it brings but I feel now it’s time for a change/step up. I always wanted to be a manager/supervisor or Human Resources. Any advice or tips on some education or classes I can take or degrees or certifications? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
