My Supervisor was threatening and berating me in public

I recently was let go from my job after going to HR because my new sup was yelling at me in front of people calling me names and threatening to have me fired. I went to my manager and even HR after she left a write up in the open on my desk for others to see. No one did anything and after she fired me for no real reason, the mistake wasnt even mine it was the person covering my desk, she leave a threatening voicemail threatening to hold up my unemployment if I didnt answer her nasty text messges. Do I have cause to sue the company for hostile workplace?

Loosing everything since I lost my job

I lost my job 3 days before Xmas. Been supporting 4 kids on 315 dollars of unemployment for 2 months now. My water gets shut off Tuesday and our landlord refuses to work with me on rent so he is filing eviction tomorrow. I'm 39 years old never thought I would loose my job and shocked I have been unemployed this long. I'm loosing all hope for finding a job. I have no clue what I'm gonna do when we get kicked out of our home. It's amazing how you work hard to provide a great life for your kids and live safe, and then with a flip of a switch it's all gone.. for every application I fill out, or resume I email I hope someone just gives me an interview. 20 years of sales, human resources, and brand developing and not one call. Sorry I need to vent because I've never been so scared. I hope any of you job seekers out there get your next job soon.

I Need A Hiring Manager or HR to Please Answer This Pressing Question of Mine

For the past 12 years, I have been looking for permanent work and stability, but I could only get contract work. I have been in and out of work numerous times which does not look good with my employment stability. I am out of work again and I am having trouble getting hired because of this situation. This is very unfair that companies hold this against candidates. This is out of my control. What can I do to convince an employer to hire me? If I do not find work soon, I am going to lose everything I have. I appreciate any suggestions that you may have.

Needed home time to take care of sinus issues and DOT Physical Compliance Issues

First day of home time and I'm in surgery to open my sinuses up so I can breathe through my nose. Day five I go in for post op to get packing taken out of my nose. I've been trying to get set up for a sleep study and I'm told my company deactivated my insurance. I call my company HR to be told that is was deactivated on the first day of my home time while I was in surgery for my sinuses because they termed me out of the system. She transferred me over to my Driver Manager who reinstates my employment back as if they had never termed me out but my insurance is still inactive. I'm supposed to have a sleep study tonight and I'm told my insurance has not be reactivated yet. This is a pretty dirty way to care for your team members. I hope no one else goes through this kind of garbage from their company.

UPDATE: My Insurance was reinstated by 15:30 and I was able to go through with my sleep study.

I turned a bad workday into a GREAT one by...

Talking to management. The executive managers at MRI are approachable and genuinely concerned about employee satisfaction which they demonstrate daily, going far beyond the “dollar” value of Human Resources. They expect performance to be sure, but they understand well how morale can affect performance, so they take great care to address any concern brought to them by any employee.

Resume workshop

Hello everyone my name is Gregorio Montalvo-Smith and I have 17 years in Human Resources. I was recently laid off and I have no problem helping someone who needs the help with their resume. I am pretty good at it. I believe in paying it forward while I'm out here interviewing for my career job. Remember this, I can fix your resume but I can't your attitude. If you are interested and really would like the help, I can help you with your resume and provide you with honest feedback and guidance.

Just about given up!!!!!

Hello fellow Jobcase friends. I haven't updated my employment status in a long while--because I have none. It's been over two years now. I have been on numerous interviews over time. I have not been able to find a job. So considering the possibility that I was blacklisted by my former company, I believe it is definitely the reason no one will hire me. As I've stated before, this is a truly illegal practice but impossible to prove. So as I still feel about my situation, if the former company did not want me working there anymore (even though I gave them 20 years.) Why be so vengeful and ruin my chances of working anywhere else? The horrid people who control this in HR have ruined my working life. I am sure this pleases them a lot!!! But I wonder, have they ever heard of karma-what goes around comes around? etc. I hope the satisfaction that these humans got from my demise was worth it. I don't think they gained anything from it and I have no income and no prospects thanks to the unfairness that I did not deserve from people who can control what happens according to the lies and injustices that they told. So I will not rant anymore--I wish everyone good luck in their job searches and I would hope you will do the same for me!!!! Thanks-Sandi
