My interview was fine but the company sucks the people suck not a vary happy person when it come to this company

In merchandising you are changing every season for sales potential very challenging.

Be prepared for the pressure of upselling items that in many instances have no correlation to the item the customer is buying! Bought a blouse, "How about some face cream?". Not just once, but several times to pressure the customer into purchasing an item they didn't want or need. Understand the primary audience are the elderly, so leave your empathy for them at the door. Then there is the "script" you are required to generally follow! Your quality will be graded on if you followed the key steps in that script. So when a customer says, "This is all I want to buy!" You are still required to "offer" them the upsell items! It's discouraging to be pushed to "pawn" items off on the elderly, or anyone that isn't interested!

The volume of new faces and repeat customers- fast pace- building industry is essential & didn’t close during pandemic. Everything in the store is practical and purposeful. Part time 4/6 hours a day 4xaweek. Sensible bosses. Fair and sensitive employment culture

I am still employed by Home Depot. I love all my coworkers. The atmosphere is very warm and nice place to work. They listen to what you have to say and listen to any suggestions you may have. Love working there.

Good company but management has favorite workers .....
