Background Check

I just went through a divorce. Mother-in-law called Adult Protective Services accusing me of neglect and abuse to my husband in order to get me out of a home owned by her we lived in 18 years. I was never charged or arrested for the lies she told them. Problem is when I did a background check. It shows Possible criminal and traffic report found. Shows Protective Order and Guardianship of an Adult was filed. It states we do not provide consumer reports and are not a government agency. You may not use our services or the info it provides to make decisions about consumer credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other purpose that would require FCRA Compliance. If that is the case, why would it show up? How do I go about removing this? Thank you! #criminalbackground

Sam's Club does not have a strict policy against hiring individuals with criminal records, as they evaluate candidates on a case-by-case basis. It's recommended to be honest about your background during the application process. You can also consider checking Jobcase and other job search providers for opportunities that may be more inclusive. Good luck in your job search!

Should more companies hire felons and give them a chance without judging them as a felon?

I think they deserve a chance. Without a chance, they have no way to prove themselves, almost all felons who are non violent, are really great people looking for that chance.

While some employers may hire without requiring a background check, keep in mind that this can vary depending on the role and company policies. You can try looking for part-time jobs on platforms like Jobcase, Snagajob, and Craigslist, and focus on positions that may not require a background check. Good luck with your job search!

I would explain how you were guilty by association and you've learned your lesson since then and now choose better people to hang around.
