What should I do to prepare for my next part-time job?

part-time, remote or Forest City, IA. Education, research, typing, music tutor, missionary background, college, yes. Also background in many other fields. We are seniors, healthy and thinker, yet do not do well standing a long time, or hard work for a long time. Gifted in poetry, music composition, photography, study background and knowledge of Scripture. Both of us are detail oriented, careful about doing our tasks at hand. Thank you! Yes it matters. That's how they see what kind of person you are. Especially if you're working with children and the elderly.

Have you ever been denied a job after a background check?

It's a concern anyone with a record may struggle with during the hiring process. Your resume gets noticed, you ace interview #1, and interview #2, you get the job offer... and on the last page there's the background check form.

All of that time and effort pales in the face of that moment. It can feel like being shot at the finish line. That's the fear.

However. Sometimes, after an explanation of the situation, it's water under the bridge, and you land the job. Other times, it's never mentioned, and the job is yours. You wonder how far back the check goes, perhaps they just missed it, or didn't file it? And yet, there are times where a candidate is turned away.

If anyone has any advice, or experience with this situation, please feel free to share here.

To land a job at #Brink's, Incorporated I would make sure to... Make sure your record and background are both 100% clean; Brinks will not consider you for employment if they are not.

The best thing I loved about Brinks was that I didn’t have a manager/supervisor constantly looking over my shoulder all the time. The next best thing was that I was allowed to listen to music or the radio (through headphones) all day, which helped very much with the daily monotony of the repetitive nature of the work.

Unfortunately, I had to resign my position at Brinks due to a personal injury sustained at home, but if I could, I would like to work for Brinks again if I could and would do so without hesitation in a second.

I’ve been a nurse for almost 40 years. I currently work as a Talent Educator for a nonprofit senior living organization. My background includes public health, long term care, outpatient services, and education. I’d love to get to know you and your company. Reach out to me for my resume. Let’s see how we can work together to improve resident/patient outcomes and nurse satisfaction.
