Be friendly, ask questions and take a notepad and pen with you. You’ll do great!
On your first day remember to find all the reasons why you might enjoy the job subconsciously, you will need to remind yourself of those things throughout the time you spend working there especially when it gets tough. Gather as much information as they will let you gather. Information that you will need is knowing where the departments are, telephone extension numbers, the names of those that are supervising the customer service desk and the cashiers and the managers names and extensions.
Apply to Lowe's. They will pay you more for easier work
Take a notepad and pen/pencil with you to take notes. Depending on the job position you are filling, you will be doing roughly a week, give or take, of training. The training requires you to sit at the computer and take tests at the end of every section. Also, be sure to have a very comfortable pair of shoes. :) good luck!
Definitely speak to everyone from the SM to the lot attendants use an upbeat tone , act as though your being recorded because your life with HD depends on how you treat everyone
Take it easy and ask questions. If you interact with customers and are not sure about something, ask clarifying questions, see if you can figure out what they want. And if you don't know, ask a manager.
Early on you want to find out how their phone/radio systems work and how to a) call a specific manager for a question; b) use the loud voice to prompt a manager or associate to a specific department. You'll get a lot of customers asking you stuff about things you don't know about, so be ready to learn a bit about other departments outside your own and/or call someone for assistance.
Hope this helps.
Do not be late you will be in training in front of a computer take notes
Just relax and go with the flow. 😉😊
You'll be spending your first few days training on the computer. Speak to as many people as you can and stay off your phone (you would be surprised...). Your new orange family will help you out and be there for you. Make sure that you chose the right crowd; hand with the ones that hustle all day, not the slackers. You'll do great!!
