Walmart has a mixed reputation when it comes to employee treatment, with some employees reporting positive experiences while others have raised concerns about low pay and working conditions. It's important to research and consider various perspectives before deciding to work there. You can also explore job opportunities on Jobcase, Indeed, Glassdoor, and LinkedIn to find a workplace that aligns with your values and expectations.

Caregiver at Cornerstone Caregiving

I have been at Walmart for a little over a year. As a retired nurse who had some unexpected expenditures, I applied for some extra income. The team lead I had initially was excellent. Truely impressed by him but my coach is a whole other story. I was asked upon hire if 30 hrs/ week was acceptable. I said Yes. Gradually my hours got cut until I was down to 16.5 hrs/ week. Only once was I told before hand that she was told to cut hrs. This week my hrs got cut to 4 hrs. Once again I wasn't notified as to why. As a nurse manager , if I had treated any nurses under my supervision, the nursing shortage would be far greater than it is. What is ironic is those of us on the cash register are expected to respect the cash flow into Walmart but not only treat our needs for cash flow for bills like nonexistant , will put those with less trustworthy behavior on the cash register. Happened to me just yesterday . My hrs got cut 2 hrs and a fairly new employee ( one I doubt to be trusted with cash flow ) replaced me. Evil definitely is in the corporation.

Senior Coordinator Admin Asst Buyers Asst Benefits Coordinator at Walmart Sams

I worked at the home office for 15 years, it all depends on the relationship you have with your manager. For the first 14 years I was lucky, I had great managers in every department. Then I transferred to Logistics. Worst move I ever made. The manager, department, personnel everything about it was horrible.
