This year has been BRUTAL, did anyone find a job or know someone that did? My sister finally got one after 8 mos!!! :)

I was unemployed for 5 business days. Received a job offer last night. I start Tuesday so in total I was without work 7 business days. I have several other interviews. The job market is amazing where I live (Oklahoma) right now.

For the older worker just remember those times of economic downturn and high unemployment. Jobs were difficult to find and we gladly did work that was labor intensive and drove our cars farther than we wanted to, just to pay our living expenses and pay off our debt. Well, jobs are plentiful right now if we can still harness that strong work ethic that has got us through to now we can take advantage of this opportunity. You have a lot of experience and knowledge to offer and can be the teachers to the world.

I have been out of work for well over a year! Yes there are jobs out there for kids. I have almost 30 years experience as senior level tech support at colleges / universities and hospitals. In my area here in East Tennessee they only offer contract jobs wanting just high school education without benefits at $10.00 - $13.00 hr for a position 50 miles away working at a call center. Have not had any callbacks about a full time position even though I have submitted hundreds of applications. With my 6 years of college my applications are ignored.

I've had a lot of job offers but am only accepting one. There's a ton of jobs out there right now all over the country.

True doll, a for some this 9s is also a time to use certain opportunities to open new doors. Learn something new! Add new skills to your list, and even find new skills you may prefer over others.

I find a lot of recruiters show very little respect towards you as an individual Go to the hidden job market

Tricia, go on line there are a lot of jobs on line, I am retired and I have a lot of companies sending me texts for a job.

I am still looking. I have a friend that was furloughed twice during the pandemic and recently laid off again this week.

I found a job that I'm overqualified for. The perks and pay was too good to turn down. They even offered to move me up in company at my interview! Awesome interview! Awesome company! Independent contractor.
Right now there are so many companies hiring.you might have to work somewhere you don't want to just til you find something better
