Description Purpose: In addition to performing the duties and responsibilities required to function as clinical perfusionist, the Director shall provide the necessary leadership to the Department of Perfusion Services to assure safe patient-centered care in a cost-effective manner in an environment which continuously promotes quality improvement.

Responsibilities: Achieve financial objectives through the preparation, examination and justification of departmental budget; by monitoring expenditures and initiating corrective actions. Actively seek new business opportunities which grow department revenue. Attend 80% of director meetings and actively communicate with other directors. Demonstrate knowledge of and proficiency with the operation and maintenance of perfusion equipment. Demonstrate the application of clinical perfusion skills by adhering to departmental and professional standards. Encourage research and formal presentations within the department. Participate with the submission of one scientific abstract per year. Ensure a qualified and competent perfusion staff by selecting, coaching, scheduling, motivating and assisting in the development of employees of the Department of Perfusion Services. Ensure adequate staff coverage for elective and emergency procedures by preparing the daily and call schedule. Ensure appropriate equipment inventory and maintenance. Assist with the transport of equipment and evaluation of new equipment or process. Ensure compliance of all personnel with annual and new mandatory requirements within identified timeframe. Ensure operational responsibilities are met, appropriate inventory levels maintained, minimize waste, and provide monthly reports to senior management to include budget variances, revenue generation, and charge auditing. JOB SUMMARY Perform process and production maintenance throughout the facility. Multicraft Maintenance includes, but not be limited to machine breakdowns, installation and startups, process improvements, preventative maintenance programs and continuous machine improvements, increasing machine reliability and installation of facility capital investments. Responsibilities include electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, plumbing, equipment rebuilding, and mechanical fabrication, reading electrical and mechanical prints, and setting up precision instrumentation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment using a systematic diagnostic approach. Electrical: Install and repair electrical systems, electric apparatus and components on industrial process machinery and equipment. Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment such as transformers, motors, rectifiers, instrumentation, wiring, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables. Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices. Bend conduit; install new wiring for sensors, valves, actuators, and other electrical devices used for machine and process control. Troubleshoot machine controls utilizing a PLC, servo, stepper, and basic relay logic controls. Mechanical: Repair and maintain mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic components on production machines such as metal fabricating stamping machines, material handling system, automated assembly machines, degreasing equipment, anodizing lines, and conveyor systems. Repair/replace damaged air, chemical, water and hydraulic pipes on machine and measures, cuts, threads and installs new pipe. Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems, replace as needed. Aligns and adjust components on machines to improve or correct machine functionality and part quality. JOB SUMMARY This production floor position is responsible for maintaining continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing or modifying system components on automated process equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform machine changeovers from part-to-part/job-to-job. Clear machine jams as needed. Clean machine as needed. Troubleshoot machine product issues (metal and plastic) making adjustments where necessary. Able to adjust and fabricate items needed to adapt bowl feeding systems, tracks, fixtures, and tooling to make a good product at designated rates. Communication to include, but not be limited to the shift status on issues and performance for all machines QUALIFICATIONS Strong knowledge of 120VAC control circuits, 24VDC control circuit, Industrial Power 3 Phase 480V and industry accepted electrical safety practices for testing energized circuits Strong knowledge of PLC’s and VFD controlled machinery Proficient in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment--must have and maintain all hand and test tools required to maintain automated equipment. Computer proficient--Microsoft Windows based computer operation. Experience with Robotics Experience welding with stick or MIG a plus. Knowledge of ABB/SEW drive technology a plus.
