Will federal unemployment be extended through January 2021?
Or is this just a rumor? I think they’re going to restart my state benefits After my next 7 weeks are over with. But I’m hoping they extend federal way past July. I’m sure we all hope that! I can’t seem to find any articles to answer this yet so I thought I’d ask.
Edit: Due to some people wanting to bash me for asking this question, I’d like to add that my own father has died this year. Also, for my own child, I am the only living parent and a single mother. I’m afraid to die when my child needs me to live. It’s not hand outs it’s wanting to be safe. Use some sense please.

Rumor at this point. It was part of the Democratic HEROES act that has sat in Senate and trump said he would veto. They said they won't start discussing a new plan until mid july.
I’m not sure. All I know is that my last payment was 5/13/2020. I have been doing recertifications every 2 weeks and it keeps saying pending. I have contacted them via the online porthole with no response. I have tried to call and they keep saying no calls be accepted. This in California. My family needs the help. I have been out of work for a long time. I have accepted a job offer but I have to move my family 2600 miles away, 1/2 pay and hours I have here in California and the job does not start until July 1 so first 1/2 pay 1/2 the hours will not be until July 14th or later. I need help as well. What else can I do but just sit back and just go bankrupt until I have some sort of money flowing in. This whole situation sucks and is messed up.
I think the Republicans are timing the stimulus checks to be sent out and therefore spent on our economy just in time to positively affect our economy right before the elections, in favor of making Trump look good. Republicans would do some shit like that. Whatever it is, it's all about the agendas of Trump and the Republicans, never about the people when it comes to Republicans.
Wait for Trump's imprisonment. The democrats will have the house again and take the senate again. We'll all be better off again. Unless Trump starts World War III to avoid prison. He more than likely will.
If a decision is conceived to extend unemployment. I dought it very seriously that funds will be directed correctly to support this not because the Democrats want this. Not because the Republicans are against it.
I don't see either side actually coming to an intelligent term at the table for us. Again, where will this money come from. In my books. It should come from China to support a 2nd stimulus/unemployment extension.

Your position is totally understandable. Democrats already passed a bill that includes the extension you speak of. The Republican Senate so far is against it. They want us to feel forced back to work. Look for heavy negotiations on that and other included provisions. Typically in negotiations there is a lot of last minutes “posturing” so we could get the extension. I hope for your sake we do. You have more challenges than most of us. You are certainly not lazy. I wish you well!
I have not received my federal tax refund filed 06/01/2020 went on line keeps saying being processed anyone have this problem?
