How was your experience with unemployment??
Were you able to successfully file? Did you hit any roadblocks?

I think everyone had road blocks

I filed back in the early 2000s. It wasn't too difficult of a process, you just had to fill out a bunch of paperwork and stay on top of your weekly claims. It was discouraging at first but was helpful financially while I was looking for new work.

Fkn nightmare. And I didn't receive anything even though I should have been eligible one of the few weeks I filed.

Luckily I've never had to apply, but my brother in law did. It took him a really long time to get approved. His advice was to make sure you have EVEYRYTHING together BEFORE you go to file. That way there's not extensive back and forth.

Terrible! Been waiting over 3 months to get my acct unlocked! Nobody can help! Nobody knows why! I get a different answer every time I call. Gone through hot line, had 2 scheduled meetings and All customer service can't see nothing because it's locked! Very frustrating!

i finally gave up they owe from May

Took 6 months after I applied before I received unemployment.

It was determined they overpaid me since my first week. Hearing to prove I met the careersource requirement. Needed rental assistance and still haven't caught up to my utility bills.

Haha! Blocks of roadblocks. It eventually got straightened out, however not soon enough. Too much stress. Have a job now and I'm much happier!
I waited what seemed like a lifetime, then I finally said screw it! I contacted my state rep (after reading an article on Jobcase actually that said that was an option!!) and was able to get help right away. Thanks for the tip, team!!!!!
