Work after retirement

I am going to be retiring this year from state service. I will need to find another job. I am still not sure what I want to pursue in a second career. I only have an Associate degree. How do I go about looking for a new career especially if the company wants a bachelor's degree? #jobsearch #resume #workfromhome

Goto the unemployment office with your resume and check to see if they have any programs that you can get free training to do something else.

Hi Linda, this is an amazing question! Making a career change is SUPER common and not as outlandish as one may think. First thing I would say is to check out out #careerdiscovery topic here on JC. It has some great info that may be of use for you!

I would also suggest taking a look at this article - have you ever heard of the term "transferable skills"? If not, this article talks about them and how they can help when making a career change!

What kind of work do you think you'd enjoy doing? Maybe you can take a personality career quiz online to help you kind of narrow down the path of what your passions are!
