How would you address this question?
Hello, my last job involved fraudulent activities that I didn’t agree to so I resigned. How would you explain why you left your last position if this happened to you? #interviewquestion # #jobsearch #advice #interview #application #workfromhome

"I came to conclude my moral compass did not align with the company's mission." or "Over time, it became apparent to me that my previous employer and I were not aligned in our core values."

I would use it as an opportunity to show integrity and talk about your commitment to ethical behavior and doing what’s right.

This is a great question, I personally wouldn’t get into it with an interviewer. It is best to focus on the positives of what you learned from it.

As a human resources manager, we dont want to hear you speak badly of any company, in the end we think, "What would she say about our company"

You should explain to them what happened honestly.

I actually had the same issue with my last employer. I was only with the "company" for less then 3 months. I was asked why I would like to leave my current position/ employer. First on my resume I did not list the company I resigned from, I listed my last employer you can put your current if you have been there for years and then things started to get bad. So when asked I can respond honestly and truthly, I simply said " The company that I have currently resigned from were (whatever the issue). I feel that my ethics and morals were put into question by no fault of my own.( if asked:give example but don't trash talk the employer) I let management aware of the issues/ problem, I was told it will be looked into and it was not. At the end of the day I felt that I was not given any other option because I could no longer proform dishonest work responsiblities daily any longer. I was hired on the spot for my honesty and they are paying me more then what there posting stated. I now work for a Cardiologist that works with Torrance Memorial and Little company of Mary. -YOU GOT THIS!-

Call it like it was but keep particulars to yourself under all circumstances.

Companies don't like to hear negative comments during interviews. They might even side with them. Just avoid it altogether.

Honesty is always the best policy...but I'd be very brief and to the point about it with no details or name-calling, etc. Just let them know that certain activities went against your principles, and that's why you had to leave.
I think I would be honest about it and explain what happened without mentioning names
