How will working at Walmart help me grow a career?

Working at Walmart can help you grow a career by providing you with experience in the retail industry, training in customer service and teamwork, and opportunities to move up within the company.

If you told them on application that you had a felony and then was fired when your felony had 0 interaction with job, it’s discrimination and against the law. So make sure to say something even “will discuss at interview.”

Walmart hired me as felon then fired me 6 weeks later said they didn't do proper background check but only because it was covid and early stafe they would hire any 1 so I was a Ginnie pig to catch or work for that company.since I was 4 weeks out of prison the government paid them for them hiring fresh convicts.

You gain more experience by setting fence post, one at a time and remember you can't set the next one unless you dig it.

A few ways this can happen. You can learn based on the skill that is entered as that skill will help you gain much more. For example if you are working as a stocker, you can begin stocking shelves right? That sounds simple but there are also other things you will be needing to do while stocking the shelves such as keeping track of how many items are where when putting them into place. Not only that you need to make note of that number so they can be looked back on. The reason for doing this is that number will be kept track of for shipment and so forth. There are other areas you will be getting involved with, cannot think of them off hand but the ones I mentioned were a base idea. My point is, knowing the ground work for that particular position will help you build your way up within that position as well as with the company should you choose to change into another position. We all learn many skills within our job that we can carry from job position to job position which is a major benefit. You can do this, I wish you the very best!

Walmart hires management from within. So if you start out as a cashier, stocker or other position, you can work your way up .

Any job can help you grow a career, but Walmart is perfect because they offer tuition reimbursement which means they pay for you to go to school & better yourself!
Considering I told hiring manager about my prior history and moved to be near walmart and was still let go I think he screwed up when he told me that back round check cleared then 6 weeks later that because of covid 19 they really didn't do a 2nd back round check. So I pretty much boycotted walmart considering I spent more there in a year then I can believe so my money's no good for there store either from what I seen working there I don't miss shopping there
