Before I ask for a raise, I need to ask myself a couple of questions; one-Do I honestly feel that I deserve it, are my services more valuable than what they are paying me, another words can someone with no skills come in and do what I am doing with minimal training? two- Does my management look to me for answers or suggestions, or is it the other way around. three-Am I reliable, on time and there every day. Maybe a promotion would be the appropriate request. A promotion brings the higher pay scale. So really there is a bonus because not only do you get the raise but you get the title as well. That equals a better resume for the next job
