I have been a cashier for many different places. I know how to count money and I do prefer to count the money as I give it back to the customer. They always say that "the customer is always right" even though we know that's not always true. But you still have to be courteous to the customer. You must wear comfortable shoes. And always be polite and considerate and available to assist customers whenever possible.
