I would try out a hospital associated with the state universities in your area. While nothing is guaranteed, those hospitals have medical students that do their residency there or other work that involves them getting their time and practice. I don’t know it that helps but it never hurts to check with the university hospitals.
Entry level jobs in medical coding and billing is hard to find...you just have to keep looking. Look on Jobcase and all other reputable job boards. They usually don't pay very high usually 15-16/hour. I would suggest take whatever job that comes you way even if it has low pay. Once you have 1-2 experience you can make a pretty good living. Dynamic Global and Infinite Solutions group are two companies that hire medical coder and biller in the Dallas area. See if they have a career page and if you can submit a resume. Good luck!
