Depends on the management staff that you work for. The one that I worked for were two faced. As soon as one of their friends needed a job, I was let go for what I know was a bull____ reason. Good luck.

Dollar general was an amazing job and I worked with great people my main boss appreciated my work and rewarded me with a gift card for going above and beyond and making our coustomers happy , my manager also gave me a gift card to olive garden and gave us gift cards for Christmas and birthday's, I miss my old job for sure

I’m currently still working at DG, it’s not the best, all depends on what ur looking for in a job. personally I only stay because of some of the people I work with. There’s also little to no benefits.

well I am a people person ,not just to our older ones but as I call them my kids.i do good with everyone stocking shelves make the store clean and help the people with what they need to show respect always have a great attitude.

I was a key holder for dollar general and regret it cause they take complete advantage of you for example I was always at work no time off I worked for a month straight even with no time off cause I needed the money for my bills and my children and didn’t see any of my overtime at all cause they were going in and adjusting my time punches to where any hours over 30 was being adjusted and put to the store managers hours plus was threatened with being fired for needing time off for a family member’s funeral they don’t even offer benefits to their employees either
