What do you do when your day has been a two part Jerry Springer Episode, when you finally get back home, to destress?

My day as a care provider started out rotten. By noon I felt a rare migraine coming on. Lets just say for me it's very hard to play in the sandbox when the other kids are just so obnoxious and out of hand, screaming and yelling at the same time I'm trying to build several castles at once for safe haven! I went home, supervisor approved 4 hours early..... #advice #wordsofadvice #jobsearch #management

Spray cologne in the bathroom and get a nice hot as you can stand bath with epsom salts in it. Provides magnesium to help you relax or perfumed bath salts. Lay back and relax massage all areas you can reach and if you have a significant other have them massage your back. Then do some puzzles or adult coloring. Read a comical book or listen to nice calming music that you enjoy. You can also take a nice walk to calm your mind down after an aggravating day! Believe me everyone has days like this no matter what job they have.

Video games (yep, I'm a 51 year old gamer). Fun squad games where you can blow stuff up.

File for unemployment and look for another job! Sounds like this is a toxic work environment! You certainly do not need this added stress!

Sorry you had such a rough day @Arnie Nelson! I'm glad you prioritized self care, and were able to go home a little early, it can be important to remember healthy work/life balance before things go too far off the rails! 🚞💥💙

Arnie listen to me. When you have days like that sometimes you have to say fuk them kids and keep it moving! Don't let anyone piss in your Kool-Aid and ruin the flavor! Now everyone has kind words that are always appropriate, but sometimes a good cussin' is in order lol.

I feel really sad for you. Parents should teach their children better. Remember how many parents were complaining about being locked in with their children during the lock down? Mental health issues were through the roof. However, parents that were enjoying their extra time with their children were not complaining. Can you guess the type of parents your disruptive students belonged to? I raised four children and they knew not to upset their teachers. I always looked forward to good reviews. So I am so sorry for what you went through. Migraines, I am sure, are not fun.
