We need a group for people like us with Autism, the entire spectrum. I have noticed how many of us have a extremely hard time getting work and even harder to get decent work. Then keeping that work. Not just me. See it all over the place. All a lot of us get regardless of our talents or skills are low wage labor jobs. Even if we have talents and skills and an education.

It's supposed to be illegal. I'm so sorry you've had to go through this. There's at show our about a Dr. that has autism and had a very hard time with people taking him seriously. It's called the good doctor. The reason l being it up is because it's making waves about these things. I hope things change!

Some of the best coders are autistic, yet HR departments won't hire them because they lack soft skills, which is a symptom of Autism. Sorry. We don't live in a Meritocracy and hiring managers are very short-sighted when it comes to people with all kinds of disabilities.

Great idea! There are currently 2 groups for autism on this website, but you can create your own as well.

I found it manufacturing professions and specifically oriented nursing professions are beneficial for those with Asperger's it provides a routine that we can follow and less stress due to changing everyday routines and shifts. Everyone is only limited by their specific needs under the Spectrum and they need to reach their full potential and realizing you're still a valued member of society. It also helps to have friends and family involved very closely in your life that understan. It also helps to have friends and family involved very closely in your life that I understand what you're going through please tell them what you're going throug. You should definitely make one! I'm sure people will be interested to join if they know it's a thing.
