Recently, the most useful outcome has been a confirmation that I was not selected for the role. Kind of unfortunate, but at least it has given me closure. I usually wait about a week before following up.

After the initial interview, always follow up with an email, text or hand written note expressing your gratitude for the interview and your desire to work for a well known and respected company such as Home Depot! Even if you don’t get the job, you know you did the right thing by following up. It shows character and flexibility
