My advice to people interested in working at #VFWPost7211/AmericanLegionPost12 as a #Bartender/OpenMicHost/Organizer ...
I would recommend working at The American Legion to anyone that is a fun and fast bartender. The clientele are mostly military. They are to be respected. But it's easy if they are your heroes like they are mine.

The biggest mistake I made as a #Bartender/OpenMicHost/Organizer at #VFWPost7211/AmericanLegionPost12 ...
Not getting dry red wine on a regular basis there. Not cold dry red wine. But that's just a personal preference. It was a fun place to work

A #stressful #VFWPost7211/AmericanLegionPost12 day
We had hundreds of COC (motorcycle safety meeting) people outside in 100 degree weather and they came before we even were open. Everyone was soooooooooooooooo thirsty. So, I had a veteran's wife handing out water and we all worked crazy hard. Everyone was dressed the same, black leather vests... It was crazy busy, but we made it through that day. Wow.

I got along with everyone. I'm a people person. I'm pretty good at cutting someone off and letting them think it was their idea. You have to be careful serving alcohol because people can get hurt.

What I loved working at #VFWPost7211/AmericanLegionPost12
People. Working for my heroes... Veterans.
