The Message from the Mask

Recently  the Governor of Texas ordered a ‘mask mandate’ for Texas. Home Depot and Target are proposing a Federal, nationwide mandate be put into place.
The biggest problem I see with the mask thing is the loss of our communication skills. A person with a rag stuck in their mouth is hard to understand.
I work part time in a hardware store because I like people and communicating with them, and helping them with their problems. The mask is hampering all of those objectives.
For example,  a lady came in last week in obvious stress looking up and down the aisles in  a frantic rush. “May I help you ma’am” I asked?
    A muffled reply came back to me, “I am in need of a lot of prayer.”
Being a retired preacher, this is what I always hope to hear; a cry for spiritual help. “I would be glad to pray with you ma’am,” I replied in my softest preacher voice. “What is your need?”
    The answer, however, was neither soft nor soulful. “It won’t help a bit,” she shouted back at me. “Not one d... bit.”
“Prayer always helps,” I assured her. Maybe we need to just stop and reach out,” I replied. “Would you like me to start?
    “I don’t need a prayer,” she yelled at me,” I need a sprayer. A hose end sprayer. And I can’t find one.!” About that time she spotted one on the shelf in front of her, grabbed it, and pushed on past me towards the checkout.
 I couldn’t understand what she said thru that mask as she pushed past her way down the aisle, but I don’t think it had much to do with gardens or God. I’m tellin you, ya gotta pay attention if you are talking to a woman wearing a washcloth. It’s kinda scary out here.

If China can get it together why Americans can’t I’m so over this covid and I’m not taking the shot due to me not having symptoms I see people shouting themselves up with that and either having a breakthrough and that ant right should it be our decision to die or there’s they done went from one vaccination 💉 to another one and you think I’m a let them inject GMFU I know God loves me and that’s what keeping me going and they saying you have to be vaccinated to work at some jobs and that’s why I’m not really on that I just want to work with no problems I’m safe and I make sure I am every week so Seattle get it together 💯💯
