The Air Force itself is a good organization, however, it is the people who run it that are worthless. The AF employs many civilian workers, some are the chiefs of certain units. No matter what an enlisted military member says the military commanders will listen only to the civilian even when the Know WITHOUT ANY DOUBT that the civilian is LYING. There is unfortunately a good ole boy system where if I'm in charge of someone and he does something wrong - I cover up for him instead of taking the appropriate action. It is sad to see some of the things I seen in the AF where useless people received honors, promotions, commendation that they in no way deserved. While others who were much more deserving received nothing!
