He forced me to back up!!
First day of class was this past Saturday. We got thrown in the fire without any knowledge of how to back. The instructor showed us once and that was it. Then he expects us all to do it perfectly. I hit like 10 cones and felt like an ass, but a buddy of mine actually backed the truck straight into a ditch. Why they even had the truck anywhere near a ditch I have no clue. The instructor turned red and I really thought he was going to kill somebody. I feel like the videos I watch on Youtube been more helpful than what this guy has taught us. Is this what usually happens?? What should I do?

can't get a job without a car and can't get a car with no job??
Same here and my major problem is transportation

Hey
I need a job plz help me to get a job I have driving permit

I need to quit my job ASAP
So I went to cosmetology school got my degree and I’m in the process for getting my license I got into a salon in February 2019 right before finishing school. I make 7.25 a hour for reception which is not worth my time or commute I need to quit but don’t know how to word it at all

What should i do
I have accepted a job offer for 10k a year less than I make at my current job. My current boss has asked me to stay saying "the company needs me or it will fail". The work culture is toxic, unorganized and chaotic. The new job seems better, less responsibility, 30 min longer commute. I feel guilty and have considered staying. Everyone in my life is pushing me to quit this place, but I feel as though its for selfish reasons. I. just dont know what to do. Current job pros: more money, less commute, a lot lf vacation, very flexible hours, can leave work early if needed and minimal supervision. New job pros: job function with less responsibility.

Always ask questions..
So I am looking to get a new job. I had 2 interviews and followed up with Thank you card, without harassing the interviewers (Advice #1 always get a business card). I finally got the call from HR giving me the position. I was Koolaid smiles and jumping up and down. The job involved assisting management and lots of traveling without compensation for milage. I was a 25% PAY CUT for a lot more work. I asked if they had a sign-on bonus or could they meet me 1/2 way. BIG FAT NO! so my question to the collective could I have done better or did I make a mistake?

Old job thoughts
Was it okay for me to quit my job after I got robbed at gun point on the job. Like sometimes I think that's why some people dont wanna hire me is cause I couldn't handle a gun being pointed at my face. I was being a week person. But then I really think back and I know I wasnt weak but am I gonna go into detail about what happen. Not at an interview!! Cause I did what I was supposed to do according to the dollar general robbery video. I did exactly what I was told to do from the robbers the whole time I'm thinking should I fight back? what should I do? but I stuck with the video because I didnt know if taking that risk would be worth it. I'd be risking my managers life and my brothers life. The whole time I was doing the things I was told to do from the robbers. I was thinking about my brother. I was wanting to fight for him I wanted to protect him and I was worried about him cause at this point in my life I didnt have a car I just graduated from high school. My brother was my ride to and from work and there was more then one robber and one of them where out there with him my big brother would do anything for me . So I knew there was the strongest possibility that he could get shot trying to save my life. And that tore me up. Cause I wanted to be out there making sure he didnt do anything stupid like saving my life for his. Call me selfish but I couldn't live with knowing he died cause I didnt have a car.

I guess I saved her life!
I am still shaken up over this. I pulled into a rest stop off of Interstate 70 a few weeks back to use the bathroom. All of a sudden I hear a woman from the stall next door tell me that she doesn’t feel well and that I might need to call 911. I ask her what’s wrong and there is NO answer. I asked her again if she was ok and again no answer so I got out and tried to push the stall door open but couldn’t. I ran and got help from some folks at the Burger King nearby. They kicked the door open and we all saw that the woman had passed out and hit her head on the ground. She was bleeding pretty bad. The paramedics told me later that she had a seizure and that I had saved her life just by being the only person in the bathroom that day and how quick I reacted. I was just so glad I was there!!

He jumped out and ran away!!!
I have seen that people in this group that truck with their dogs. Well, I have my cat Franky. He loves being in the truck and he's just awesome. Last week I had a huge scare tho. I pulled over to use the rest stop and when I opened the door Franky jumped out and bolted towards the woods!!! I swear that cat means more to me than anything in the world. I ran after him and people at the stop came by to help call him and look but he was gone. I sat for a while cryin in my truck and after I called every animal shelter around I heard a meow and there he was sitting outside the door. After two hours it was a miracle he found his way back to me. There was no way I was going to leave my road buddy behind!

Senior seeking employment.
For most of my career, I was a transportation specialist. The road took away from me more than it ever gave back in terms of my health. I never slept right ate right or got enough exercise. I developed type two diabetes and suffer from arthritis, however over the past several years I have made considerable strides and am considering entering the job market but so far have been unsuccessful. I am a self-starter, relatively intelligent, honest and dependable.
