Why do skilled trade jobs have a bad stigma?
Another post about the opportunities that are available for skilled work and the fact that there is a lack of applicants to trade schools and apprenticeships. Why are these jobs not being sought after by the American workforce? Is it the training and time needed to get into the skills (similar to a 4 year school but you get paid while you learn) or is it because people might look down on you for working with your hands as well as you brain?

It has to do with job opportunity. Many skilled labor jobs may ended up paying more than “corporate “ or salary jobs but the days may be longer and the work ebbs and flows as where the salary job dose not.
