He was just another worker often just having a cup of coffee with us talking and laughing and encouraging us along in our work day. He was present and understanding about our day to day struggles in the job.

A few days ago I posted a issue I witnessed regarding felons. How do you feel about companies hiring ex-felons? I know people who committed crimes and have changed there life's and others who choose to continue breaking the law. This is a subject I feels needs to truly be looked at from a national stand point, what's your thoughts? More on this later.

Several years ago I got into some trouble. It's been years since all this happen. I'm a very hard worker and have experience in several things. No one wants to give someone a chance.

If you or someone close to you has a criminal background you know that it can feel very isolating at times. Often felons feel that they are cast aside from society and unable to re-enter the workforce, but there are opportunities to explore!

I recently discovered a program offered by Goodwill called “Jobs on the Outside” located in North Carolina.

It’s a free program that assists individuals with a criminal background successfully obtain and keep a job.

I did something stupid almost 8 years ago now. I can't get a job because everyone does background checks now. Why can't an employer just give people a 2nd chance. I know that there are many people working that do make mistakes and aren't pushed out. I just want a chance. I have been fighting breast cancer for 5 years now. I am in remission now. I just want a job where I can become a productive human being again.

For the past three years i have worked a total of four months. Due to my brain damage most employers dont want to give me the time of day. I had a great job at the bowling alley but in january i was fired for my disability affecting my paperwork. Now they refuse to give me a separation notice. I have worked hard since i was 14. My brain damage makes me look to employers like a plaque that they dont want to give chance too.

I am a recovering alcholic. Was a full on alcholic for nine years. I have been sober of 11 months. No one will give me a shot. Even starting at the bottom, laborer, apprentice, nothing. I was a chief estimator that almost always made by quota. Jobs from 10k to over 20 million. Project managed jobs, sometimes 14 at a time, from 500k to 15 million. I just want a shot! I will work for slave wages, just let me make up for it. I have to admit I did have many more than just one chance....there is a thing called serenity.
