The most stressful part about a day of work at republic services is that when they change their policy on starting times. I used to come to work at 12 am. I would do this in order to service the hospitals before the traffic starts up around 6. The management at republic thought that it would be a great idea to change the starting times for clocking in to 4AM. By the time you get clocked in do a pretrip of your truck,and paper work. It's time for everyone to get work and traffic to become a nightmare. I feel sorry for the people who are still doing this job now. Its only going to get worse for waste handlers as more people move in to commercial areas. Along with new noise ordinance that the city and county are bound to put in place.

I loved the idea that you were your own boss while I was doing my routine and daily duties. No customers were in the way of you doing the job.
