This is almost incredible for me; Even waiting for a job in the USA; With so much to do and so much energy of the good accumulated in me, because I thought that it should not be so difficult to get a job and be useful again to my family and society and recover something of the many years of life and happiness that I was taken away in Cuba, despite so much effort and personal improvement developed by me. In spite of this, I am not paralyzed; I still learn things, now in this place so beautiful, at least I feel free and with new hopes ...

Hello. I'm 20 and I've been in the customer service field since I was 16. A family member recommended I apply for Whole Foods (she also works there) I came in for a group interview for Bakery everything went fine but I didn't get the job because the manager felt that since I had so much experience In customer service I should either apply for the customer service booth or cashier. My family member is greatly loved in the store but she began to have issues with team leaders in the customer service department. I applied for the customer service booth and was emailed a few days later "Thanks for your interest in Whole Foods we enjoyed communicating with you and learning more about you during the interview but we've decided to move on to another candidate" and so on.. I never even came in for an interview for the customer service position! I strongly believe this is because of the issues with my family member and her team leader and when they realized she recommended me on the application they voided it. Any input? I'm very discouraged.

I heard from a friend about the posts and tried to get contacts , i called an they scheduled for my interview. After a day i found out my application and interview was successful

I had an interview yesterday and supplied my references to the President of the company. So far he has not called a single one of them. He told me to follow up with him on Tuesday (since Monday is a holiday), but should I be worried that he hasn't called anyone yet?

My boss hired a relationship banker I never interviewed based on on the recommendation of a friend. The branch was not producing to expectations and I had just returned from a 2 week vacation. Very poor support from upper management.
