How other new grad started it! I'm been struggling to find a position for Developer entry level / UI web developer Entry Level. I have some experience and last year I graduated as Computer Programming and Analysis. I have the opportunity for an Internship before graduation from Aug-Dic where I learned a lot. I have knowledge on C/C++, Java, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Visio, GitHub, Bootstrap and 5 projects completed. What else a new grad need to get a job?
Hi everyone! I'm new to this website and also to reality. I'm a recent graduate, with a degree in graphic design along with a marketing minor. I love illustration, and can design both in the fine arts as well as the adobe suite. I'm not a big coder, it's not a natural talent I have, but I'm very much open to learning. I have a years worth of related experience in the field, working as the college's graphic designer. I gravitate towards child-friendly looking illustrations, that bring a sense of joy to my friends and family when my designs are looked at, but I'm very open to any style. I've also been a college ambassador, speaking in front of crowds daily of 30+ people at times, and truly enjoy public speaking. I've been applying to jobs on Linkedin, as well as several other job search engines, and can't seem to grab a company I'm truly passionate about. I would love to work for nickelodeon, cartoon network, disney, buzzfeed, snapchat and any other company that has the sense of fun, and witty, but professional and organized environment. If anyone has any advice, or knows any companies that are hiring I'd truly appreciate anything anyone has to say. Thank you for taking the time to read what I have to say!
I have a 24 year old who is a graduate from Texas A & M, bio medical science and wildlife and fisheries bachelor's degree. She loves photography and traveling and would very much like to find something related to her fields. Any job opportunities or referrals would be appreciated.
I'm feeling very desperate right now as no one has responded to any of my applications, save one, and the response was that I was not going to be asked to an interview, but the application is being kept on file. I'll have an Associate of Arts degree in music by the end of May, and I have a lot of experience in customer service. I've worked in restaurants, retail, a gas station, and a warehouse as a receiving coordinator. I love to learn new skills and am really looking for a more labor-intensive position than the office job I left in January. However, I can do anything that I'm trained to do, and I am willing to learn anything. I'm also willing to relocate after graduation. ALL suggestions are appreciated, especially for apprenticeships. Please and thank you!
I have a question, my name is Aaron McLeod, and I'm a college graduate with an Associate's Degree for Graphic Arts. I have been going out and sending out resumes to various companies whether if it's online or face to face, most of them throwing that word "experience" in my face like for example: "Do you have the experience to work at a sign shop, or the experience to install a sign," and ect. Now I may not have the experience on what they're looking for, but I do have the10+ years experience of freelancing as a Graphic Designer, and just because I've never worked at a sign shop in my entire life doesn't give them the right to hold that against me like that. My first job that I ever worked at for seventeen years since high school is McDonald's. I've done the follow up more than three times, and I was trying to get in contact with the people I suppose to talk to numerous times and I've been getting stuff like "It's being reviewed by the boss", or, I have left them a voicemail, but nothing happened. All I'm getting is promises but no one delivered.
