My advice to people interested in working at #PurdyLawOfficeLLC as a #LegalAdministrativeAssistant ...
The two attorneys in that office are very busy, committed and constantly on the move, working hard for clients. I loved that pace and I love that they are so present for the clients, but you have to go in there being ready to scramble. There is no down time. You have to constantly keep up the pace.

The biggest mistake I made as a #LegalAdministrativeAssistant at #PurdyLawOfficeLLC ...
I don't believe that I made any big mistake. There were one or two instances where I wasn't completely acquainted with Family Law court procedure, and missed something minor such as filing fees, or a cover sheet. I quickly called the Prothonotaries and corrected whatever omission I had done. There was no permanent damage done.

A #stressful #PurdyLawOfficeLLC day
Definitely the first day I came in to find that the Paralegal I was filling in for, went into labor and was out now for at least six weeks, and I was it! I sat with her for at least a week and a half before that, watching her work, but had only had a few hours of hands-on work for the office. I stayed calm and got to work. I had a little learning curve, but once I figured everything out, I got up to speed.

Drama at #PurdyLawOfficeLLC
We had a few issues that fell through the cracks for clients when the Paralegal who I filled in for, went out on maternity leave. I apologized to the client, explained the situation, assured them that they would be our top priority and we would be working on their file immediately to get their work back up to speed. Each client was satisfied with how their problem was handled.

What I loved working at #PurdyLawOfficeLLC
Interacting with the clients and the two attorneys I supported. I also loved being able to work independently.
