Handshake etiquette, what is the proper way to shake a ladies hand today? I'm asking because I was taught when shaking the ladies hand you shake her four fingers, you do not grasp her hand like a mans handshake. Is this too old school and outdated? When I shake a females hand anymore sometimes I get really weird vibes like I've confused or upset them. I need advice. thanks

This place is a joke...the Owner Keith is a guy that has no morals...he says you can make $70,000 a year when the truth is that you would be lucky to get payed working here...Customer off the street bring odds and ends to the shop to get either repaired or made new....because most customers are regular Joes....they don't wanna pay the price that the part cost....shocker...huh? Well that's where you get screwed cause he won't pay you either...he knocks off 5- 8 hours you put in right off the top of your check and if you say something he yells at the top of his lungs...like a 10 year old child...so you take the cut...he always promises that you'll get on the next week...Never happens either...blames the fact that he's not making money either! Continually makes promises and doesn't deliver! HE swears he's an Mechanical Engineer and he cannot read prints correctly....I'm a 12+ years in machining and I couldn't stand the stupidity..anymore!!

Hi. iv been struggling with my boss. we have been developing a really good mother-son friendship lately, But every time i make a mistake at work or something wrong happened she blame herself for being ''to good' or ''giving too much confidence''. I have no day off, she took it away from me for an hundred dollars raised, because we cut of staff. She says im not working as i used to (cheerful, motivated, happy) after that we fought and i said its because i dont rest and shes always asking me to help my coworkers but they NEVER help me, IM ALWAYS the last one to leave the work place. I feel frustrated because she says we take advantage of her, but she is putting so much pressure on me and she expects me to have a smile in my face all the time.. iv been working here for a year now, i want to leave but she's promised me a new promotion (kitchen assistant) better salary and she's opening a new restaurant soon and wants me to be there.. but i feel i CANT stand her rudeness and attitude and my coworker's anymore.

Panera bread in md. have been very pro. and really straight up about all the hiring procedures.Not employed yet,but looks good.

Imperial Toys LLC is the worst company I have ever worked for. They don't support there employees they work them 12 to 15 hours a day sometimes without breaks. I was there a short time and had the worst experience ever.The GM and Asst. GM treat employees very bad and always bad talk about employees that work for them. They also threaten there employees if they don't stay and do over time. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

I was called to bid a job after talking with the contractors we agreed on the terms discussed a verbal agreement as well as a handshake between the four of us my partner and I agreed to return the next morning with a materials list I paid advances to my hands to travel to my location for the job ,when we returned the next morning after getting a materials list spending 8 hours of my time to prepare for this job was informed that the contractor hired another company I was not notified I have $500.00 invested in time and advances .i feel I was discriminated against because I am a women I have been in the painting and renovation business for thirty years I can do a job just as well if not better then most men. Am I wrong to ask for reimbursement for my time and energy put into preparation for this job that I feel was so wrongfully denied my company

I have been pretty unhappy at my job that I have had for almost 11 years. A person knows that when the job starts to change you- its time to move on. So with that being said I have been looking for a new job but stayed because it was a job and helping me. But I kept getting passed over for positions, looked beyond for promotions and stayed stuck in the position that I was in for way to long. So this brings me to the present, 3 yrs in with a new store coach and new managers and I am getting crapped on like you wouldn't believe. Not just me a few of us long term people. So I go on a week vacation and hear one of the managers is talking horribly about my minor child(whom she never met) so when I come back I talk to store coach - she does nothing for 2 days. Then calls me into the office with said manager and some woman from another store and starts berating me and falsely accusing me of something that she said happened 3 yrs ago!! I don't even know who she was speaking of but she still stood there with the other manager saying so many harsh things about my child and me!! I couldn't take it I felt attacked and ganged up on that I quit. I told them that this was unfair and unprofessional and quit. Nothing was resolved. Do I get the vacation time I earned? Do I have a case for defamation of character? I'm lost. A lot of the employees that told me what was going on refuse to say anything for fear they will lose their job or be forced to quit also. Fellow job casers I need help right now. . .

I got a job at Sales Verification Company in St. Petersburg, Florida..... The very first day at this job. The supervisor herself was calling us inappropriate names. Holler the fowl language at us. She kept on and telling us that we were idiots cause we were blocking our hearing on what she was teaching us at the computers... I remind you this is the first day of training!!!! She said, we should have understood in full what she was trying to teach, cause she could have a child do this and be better there first day than what we were. I need to file a complaint with the company. But.HR will not return my calls?? What do I do??

So i went for an interview at taco bell the manager and a crew member interviewed me the crew member was younger then me maybe 16 17 and they laughed at my responses and made jokes and the crew member was quite rude to me but i was nice amd answered all the questions they asked me personal questions i dont know why and asked me size for the uniform shirt and i never heard from them again. Did i do something wrong?
