I received a job offer on Monday and I accepted. I had accepted another offer The prior week and I called them and told them I could not take the position. The newest job sent me an email today and said there is now a hiring freeze so now I have neither job. I can’t seem to catch a break.

Hi community, received a call on Friday, after several interviews, background check, drug screen, this company wants to see me on Monday at 1 PM. I am really curious as to what Monday will bring, my better half say's an offer. Time will tell, I hope so, I've been out of work since December 2017. After having a great interview with a company, I was given an offer. The offer is in line with the lower end of my range but with a lot of potential for bonuses. Since receiving the offer, I’ve had several requests for interviews and/or second interviews. I don’t want to lose the first offer but I don’t want to take the first thing that comes along. Is it acceptable to rescind an acceptance of an offer if I receive a better offer? What is the professional way to handle a situation like this? Unfortunately, I can’t put off giving an answer to the first offer until after the other interviews take place nor can I go on the other interviews and expect the first offer to still be there. I also can’t afford to throw an offer away as I’m currently not working. Please advise.

So I got two job offers and now I'm waiting on my background check. I'm worried because I was arrested a year ago but haven't been convicted or not even gone to a single court. Should a non convicted arrest show on a background check?
